About Me Recently · Longer Version

Hi, I'm Sujata — an engineer who likes the parts you don't see.

I'm a fullstack engineer based in Kathmandu, Nepal. I started out building MERN apps end-to-end, but somewhere along the way I fell in love with what happens behind the API — the queues, the services, the boxes, the way a small message can travel through a system and quietly make something useful happen on the other side.

These days I work on the backend at XYZ Solutions, where we're building an agentic AI content-generation SaaS on a microservices architecture. My day is some mix of gRPC contracts, RabbitMQ pipelines, PocketBase + Node services, Docker, and a self-hosted Coolify setup that lets us deploy like a much bigger team than we are.

Outside of that, I tinker. Astro and Jekyll sites, Shopify themes, n8n automations, the occasional Flutter app, scraping pipelines for fun datasets. I write this site partly to keep a record of all of it, and partly because I've been meaning to start blogging for a while now.

02 - The things I value

Three principles I keep coming back to.

Quiet over clever

I trust boring, well-named code more than a clever one-liner. The system that wakes me up at 3am is rarely the simple one.

Own the whole path

I like seeing an idea from the UI all the way to the database, the queue, and the box it runs on. The interesting bugs live in the seams.

Make it kind to operate

Logs that read like sentences, dashboards that answer real questions, and runbooks that a tired teammate can follow. Reliability is a UX problem.

03 - Experience

Where I've been.

Current

Backend Engineer

2024 – Now

XYZ Solutions — building the backend and infrastructure for an agentic AI content-generation SaaS. Microservices over gRPC, RabbitMQ queues, PocketBase + Node services, all running on self-hosted infra via Coolify.

Earlier

Fullstack Fellowship

2023

Bitfried Solutions — three-month fellowship in full-stack web development, shipped from spec to production in a small cohort with weekly design and code critique.

Ongoing

Side projects & client work

Ongoing

Astro and Jekyll sites, Shopify storefronts, web scraping pipelines, and the occasional Flutter app — the kind of work that keeps the toolbox honest.

04 - Education

And how I got here.

Degree

B.E. Computer Engineering

2019 – 2023

Graduated from Pulchowk Campus, IOE. Most of what I actually use day to day came from the side projects, but the foundations were laid here.

Higher Secondary

High School (10+2)

2017 – 2019

Science stream. The first place I wrote code that wasn't for a grade.

Secondary

2017

Secondary education board exams. The starting line.
